Not every great idea should actually be executed. Brokering the purchase of a client’s pool company so he could retire and my son and his best friend could own a business….pretty good example I would say! So the boys get their first experience with face to face consumers, complaints and making payroll….lots of parents loose hundreds of thousands of dollars finding out their kids are not suited for business. In this case, we learned other lessons, friendship is more important than money, Matt is probably not the guy you want in charge of customer complaints, little things can kill you if you let them, hiring kids from the church to work for you is dumb, and due diligence, while expensive is a good investment.
