Okay, I’m old, I remember the Lord’s Prayer in School, Bible Reading Daily and I remember when we saw hundred’s of WWII and some WWI Vets in our streets marching on Rememberance Day (it was a school holiday) and of course the war to end all wars had ended just 20 years before I went to school. NOTHING, not 20 years of Oakville Rememberance Day Services could bring me to my knees like this day, November 11 2005 when we travelled to France and walked among the graves of our “Glorious Dead” I was and am deeply moved by the sacrifice. Our Freedom was NOT Free, yet we abuse it, stomp it, ignore it and are not thankful for it! So read this grave stoneĀ if you can…try and get up close an personal and if ever so fortunate, get to Europe on November 11th, you will not be the same! I’m not!
