Michael Jackson

The incredible outpouring of grief and sensation surrounding the untimely death of the King of Pop is very disturbing. There is nothing to praise in this “man”. Acquital is not innocence, its the failure to meet evidenciary rules beyond a reasonable doubt. Its sad that the seemingly wonderful child of the Jackson Five could end up as the freakish shadow of a person who died June 25th 2009.

King Solomn, noted as the wealthiest and wisest man to ever live wrote this: Ecclesiastes 2 9-11

“So I became great and surpassed all who were before me in Jerusalem. Also my wisdom remained with me. 10And whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them. I kept my heart from no pleasure, for my heart found pleasure in all my toil, and this was my reward for all my toil. 11Then I considered all that my hands had done and the toil I had expended in doing it, and behold, all was vanity and a striving after wind, and there was nothing to be gained under the sun.”

Jacko is finding this out to be true today….its over for him, not for us though!images

Life is good….

So twenty years in, you have lived and died with clients, their businesses, their marriages, their child rearing and honestly, listened to alot of stories about how wonderful being a grand parent is. To tell you the truth (always the right plan) I kind of blah blah blah’d these comments, I always thought married life, having our own children were so sweet….but let me tell you ZIO (Italian for uncle) was right, its all about Stella. Which is of course, about life, about the cycle of life, the pace, the measure of it and just yesterday, reading my bible and being reminded of the gifts we have been given and about faithfully passing them on. So to those that have grandchildren! hurrah, to those that think I am nuts….ur right of course, I am nuts about Stella!

Stanley

Great Week…to celebrate 20 years, Susan and I took off for NYC, saw some 3 plays, ate in some very nice places, visited little Italy and absorbed the ambiance of the Godfather filmed on Mulberry Street in NYC. Home for 2 busy days, then off to Pittsburg for game 4. Hats off to Pittsburg, they have nothing on the GTA, nothing…except 2 cups and 2 other finals since we drew blood last in 1967. Yes, we need Stanley here and we need him now. Someone told me yesterday that a team for Hamilton would bring Stanley to Toronto. Nice thought, I dont care, I want a cup, I want our people to before I’m a great grandfather like my dad. (he cares? Habs fan….every family has a closet for skeltons, ours is my dad and the Habs. Anyway, my first attendance at a final and I am rabid for a cup!pin_kelly02
